• Montpellier, the weather and Art

A fine day saw two of us depart Pezénas for the sunny climes of Montpellier.

Our mission, visit just a few of the many Galleries showing a wide and eclectic array of Art, Slulpture, Glasswware, photography and other.

If you are going to do this then do not hesitate to start at the Tourist Office for a commplete guide to whats on.

The problem with going to Montpellier with a set idea of what to do is.......you don't!

After 10 minutes, with the sun shining and everybody smiling the Cafés became the sirens of the present day and a short break was taken for refreshment.

But alas, time stands still for no-one and off we went.

First stop, Galerie Hélène Trintignan. (www.galerietrintignan.com)

This is a deceptive gallery and in such a glorious rue as to allow you to alk past it without noticing but that would be an error.

Often you will see artists walking in and out clutching canvases and the gallery is never seen to be empty. While we were there, two people busied themselves removing numerous canvases and books.

We went there to see one of the artists on display.

    Robert Combas.

Born in Lyon, raised in Séte and now in Paris, Robert Combas will never not garner an opinion.

    See for yourself.
