Henrietta Stuart

After her studies in Fine Art in the UK, Henrietta Stuart lives and works in south of France. Her paintings have developed from abstracts based on still life to being compositions woven from images taken from the natural world. Her inspiration is from places and images that she has seen.

The compositions are made up from extensive drawing of both the landscape and still life groups set up in the studio.

The finished pieces range from almost totally abstract compositions, evoking a sense of place, to the more easily recognisable landscapes or still-life paintings. Colour and light play the most important part in her work. She has exhibited widely in London, France and the UK.

At present her work can be seen in London, in the in Frivoli Gallery (Chiswick) and in McKenzie Gallery.
