Alas poor Yorick! I knew him well.

Meet Teddy and Nicola.

You may know them,  concerts, theatre performances, sculpture, pantomime, La Maison Verte

Nicola has a background in Arts Publicity. Oxford Playhouse, Welsh National Opera and her personal favourite, ‘fringe’ theatre.

Teddy is one of those special people who has a natural talent with his hands and is an exceptional wood sculptor. Tutored by Edward Robinson in a glorious Abbey outside Oxford, they had a good life. 

But then they made the decision to do something together - and that turned out to be La Maison Verte in Roujan, which they ran for ten years as a residential centre for cultural courses and holidays where weeks of yoga were interspersed with art, creative writing, jazz and choral singing.

Then they sold it!

They moved to their current home next door  and called it La Maison Sans Fiche. With it they kept ‘The Gallery’.

This area was specifically created for Teddy to store his sculpture and he has exhibited there, alone and with others on a number of occasions.

It is not a gallery in the technical sense of the word - given that there is no management, no publicity in-house or particular style of art on show. But don’t be surprised or put off.

The space is ideal for exhibitions, split-level, it can be used individually or as a group space.

The location is rural but well appointed and Teddy and Nicola are engaging and enthusiastic hosts.

There is room for renting workshop space, or for doing a number of differnent activities such as ceramics or art classes, even Pilates classes!

 If you are interested in finding a space to exhibit or teach or simply to potter about, then maybe (insert) is the place for you.

Culture is what Teddy and Nicola have brought to the region for many years and in this space, maybe you too can add a little culture to the village of Roujan.
